Executive Functioning Coach

I am very excited to be working as an Executive Functioning Coach at Milestones Psychology. For the last two years, I worked as Milestones' Intake Coordinator, where I was the first point of contact for families seeking support. Through this role, I developed a strong understanding of the challenges students face across New York City's diverse school systems, including executive functioning difficulties, learning differences, mental health concerns, school transitions, and academic stress. Working closely with NYC families, and now as a student myself in Fordham University's School Psychology Ph.D. program, I understand that being a student in NYC comes with demands that extend far beyond academics.

My approach to coaching is informed by both research and practice. Before joining Milestones, I spent four years conducting developmental psychology research at Boston University, studying how children learn, think, and navigate social environments. I also co-authored research published in Child Development examining children's preferences for different teaching styles. This background helps me understand how students learn differently and how to build individualized, evidence-based strategies around their needs.

In our first few sessions, I want to understand why a student is coming to executive functioning coaching, what is and isn't working for them, and what habits they want to build. Together, we create SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) and identify practical strategies to work toward them. I want coaching to feel collaborative, fun, and realistic. We want habits that will actually stick! Sessions can focus on organization, time management, planning, studying, note-taking, self-advocacy, and more, while being tailored to each student's strengths, challenges, and goals.

I want students to leave coaching with stronger executive functioning skills, as well as greater confidence, independence, and ownership over their learning. My goal is to help each student find strategies and systems that genuinely work for them.
