It is with great delight and deep gratitude that I am joining Milestones Psychology. I have worked with families in New York City for many years, providing evidence-based, culturally sensitive, and holistic psychological services and I can’t wait to continue doing so here at Milestones.
As a first-generation Armenian American, I know that seeking mental health services can be overwhelming and intense. Thus, I do my best to create a warm and welcoming environment for families. My goal is to help children, their families, and their school understand all the various components of functioning that impact a child’s life across settings and what can be done to help their functioning improve moving forward.
Throughout the years, I have conducted both psychological and neuropsychological evaluations at NYU, Mount Sinai, Weill-Cornell, and Northwell Health Hospital systems. I have developed an expertise in assessing a wide range of disorders (including but not limited to: ADHD, Autism, learning, mood, and anxiety disorders) that can often occur in children, adolescents, and young adults. I approach this work with the recognition that the evaluation process is built on strong collaboration with parents, teachers, and clinical providers to truly understand a child’s strengths, challenges, and identify what is needed for their success.
Neuropsychological evaluations equip us with information that can be utilized to develop appropriate interventions and the tailored services needed to help children reach their full potential. In other words, these evaluations often provide the answers to many of the questions families have about what’s going on with their child and what we can do about it. Each assessment is tailored to the child’s unique needs and the family’s specific questions. My goal is to understand how each child learns, their particular strengths, as well as challenges, in order to provide recommendations on how to further their development. I ensure that every step of the experience is full of care and is of the utmost quality, building long-lasting, professional, supportive relationships with families in the process.
