Clinical Extern

Currently a second-year student in the Mental Health Counseling program at Teachers College, Columbia University, I am dedicated to supporting the emotional well-being of children and families through evidence-based, developmentally informed care. I graduated with honors from Penn State University with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Sports Studies, where my academic and research experiences with childhood anxiety and behavioral disorders laid the groundwork for my deep interest in this area.

Through my clinical training and work on an inpatient psychiatric unit, I have developed a growing commitment to working with children across a range of developmental stages, particularly those navigating anxiety, emotion regulation difficulties, and externalizing behaviors. I believe in the power of early intervention and in the importance of creating a supportive, strengths-based environment where children feel understood and empowered.

In my therapeutic work, I emphasize collaboration– with caregivers, schools, and multidisciplinary providers– to ensure that treatment is both comprehensive and tailored to the child’s unique context. I strive to build trusting relationships with families and aim to equip children with practical skills to support their growth both in and outside the therapy room.
Warm, patient, and grounded in curiosity, I bring a thoughtful and compassionate approach to each session. As I continue my training, I look forward to advancing my work in child-focused clinical settings.
