SEAN MALONE, Psyd
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
With a robust background in working with adolescents in behavioral management programs, I bring nearly 20 years of experience in practicing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to the Milestones team. I am a strong proponent of the Transtheoretical approach and am dedicated to customizing treatment to meet each patient’s unique needs. Utilizing evidence-based practices is crucial for fostering growth and change, as these methods establish concrete goals achievable with the guidance of a skilled practitioner.
I believe that a collaborative therapeutic process is essential for a child or adolescent’s self-actualization. Introducing therapy into a young person's life plays a significant role in developing this vital life skill. By working to overcome obstacles and alleviate symptoms, we can forge a path to success. It has always been deeply rewarding for me to witness not only the immediate benefits of treatment for a child in therapy but also their overall growth and flourishing.
I am excited to be part of a clinical team that works together to assess problem areas, design tailored treatment plans, and implement interventions that address the specific needs of each individual. I am convinced that a comprehensive understanding of the child, the influence of their environment, and family dynamics are fundamental to creating the foundation for lifelong success.
